Anthony Bourdain Is No Longer With Us

The celebrated American chef, best-selling author, and television host — has died at the age of 61 of apparent suicide by hanging, CNN confirmed

“It is with extraordinary sadness we can confirm the death of our friend and colleague, T,” the network said in a statement Friday morning. “His love of great adventure, new friends, fine food and drink and the remarkable stories of the world made him a unique storyteller. His talents never ceased to amaze us and we will miss him very much. Our thoughts and prayers are with his daughter and family at this incredibly difficult time.”

Bourdain was found unresponsive in his hotel room in France Friday morning by close friend and French chef, Eric Ripert, according to CNN. Both were filming an upcoming episode of Bourdain’s award-winning show.  Parts Unknown won nearly any award possible.

We will remember Anthony among many things also for going out against Harvey Weinstein, telling Alec Baldwin to “just shut up” and being a huge supporter of the #MeToo movement .
