What Birth Was Like In the 1900s Through Today


Giving birth has come changed A LOT over the years (and it hasn’t always been pretty), but there are a few areas we can’t wait to see improved.

According to the World Health Organization, while maternal mortality rates dropped 50 percent between 1990 and 2014, 800 women still die every day from preventable causes related to pregnancy and childbirth. Let’s hope this look through history will remind us how far we’ve come, but also how far we still have to go.
