Obama spoke at an event in Paris over the weekend and answered a few questions on climate change, leadership and the future of the United States.
He was invited to an event organized by a group of professionals called the “Les Napoleons,” where he talked about the state of the United States and the role we play on addressing the country’s issues. He also discussed Donald Trump’s withdrawal from the Paris Agreement – a commitment implemented by the Obama Administration to fight against climate change and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
The former president believed more women should be in power to make political decisions, stating “because men seem to be having some problems these days,” according to AFP.
It comes from the ongoing sexual assault allegations across Hollywood, politics, and around the world. The two-term president feels optimistic about leadership in the future and it starts with more inclusion in the workplace.
“Not to generalize but women seem to have a better capacity [for leadership] than men do, partly because of their socialization,” he told the crowd.
