Women Share The Biggest Mistakes Male Authors Make With Female Characters

A Twitter thread criticizing the way male authors have a tendency to describe their female characters, often objectified, gained a lot of popularity on the internet.

It kicked off with a tweet by young adult author Gwen C. Katz, referencing an unnamed male author: “A male author is insisting that he is living proof that it’s possible for a male author to write an authentic female protagonist.”
