Even though many women praise thongs because you can wear anything with them and no one will ever see the line, there are just as many who are more concerned about wearing a comfortable piece of underwear.
Well, to all of you who prefer comfort over looks, we’ve got good news: The granny panties are making a comeback!
The NY Times posted a story in 2015 titled “Young Women Say No to Thongs”, and it turns out that many young women actually wear granny panties instead of thongs. The trend is huge, and it’s here to stay.
There have been numerous articles about how we’re no longer into wear uncomfortable undies, and millennial women care more about comfort. They are tired of the “beauty is pain” lie we’ve been sold for decades, and the fact is that there’s nothing beautiful about wearing a pair of underwear that hurts.
Another thing to note is that thongs weren’t even originally made for women.
An NYC major came up with the thong for male dancers back in 1939, and it remains unknown how many women got the idea that they had to wear them. The shift towards the granny panties is real, though, as thong sales have been down in recent years.
And yet another fact to take into consideration is that men really don’t seem to care what underwear we wear.
Many women are stressing out for nothing, because guys don’t give a damn what we wear under our clothes. Any guy that loves us will love us whatever we wear (or don’t wear).
And, at the end of the way, you should wear only what you want and whatever makes you comfortable. Wearing thongs if they make you feel good is no crime, of course, it’s just I’m definitely glad to see the granny panties making a comeback.
